Om Richard
Richard is an Australian clarinettist currently living on Amager. who has moved back to Copenhagen after living the last two years working with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
Richard has graduated from Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium with a master of music in performance and pedagogy, and in addition to working with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra back down under, he has worked with DR SymfoniOrkestret and Copenhagen Phil. He also worked for two years with the New South Wales Police Band in Sydney as a bass clarinettist, so he knows a thing or two about marching in the hot and dry Danish weather!
As a teacher, Richard has great experience working with people as young as 7 and as old as 70! He has taught one-on-one for many years, and has experience working with children in group lessons too. He graduated from DKDM with top marks in pedagogy
He always tries to make music relateable and fun, and something that will excite someone new to the instrument, or someone who has been playing for years. One particular passion is the ergonomic playing of the instrument and ensuring that playing the clarinet is pain-free, comfortable and therefore enjoyable!
