Tomas gained his first musical experiences from the age of 6 as a violinist and member of the folk music group. At the age of 13 he decided to switch from violin to viola. He later studied at the Prague Conservatory and the Academy of Music in Prague where he graduated in 2015 (Viola Performance, Violin & Viola Pedagogy). In August 2015 Tomas moved to Denmark where he is currently studying a postgraduate Soloist Degree at the Danish National Academy of Music Odense in the class of Marta Líbalová.

Tomas has played in many professional orchestras and chamber ensembles. In the season 2016/17 he was a member of the "Carl Nielsen Orchestral Academy" of the Odense Symfoniorkester where he plays as a regular assistent since then. He is also a member of the Prague Viola Duo. The duo performed at festivals and concert series and recieved several awards in international competitions. As a soloist Tomas played at festivals of modern music (Italy, Czech Republic) in the premiere performance of new viola compositions dedicated to him.

During his studies in Prague, Tomas became interested in pedagogy and started to teach. Since 2011 he has taught beginners (children and adults) and advanced students both at music school and privately. In the summer of 2014 - 16 he also taught chamber music at the Dobřichovice International String Master Courses & Festival.

According to Tomas, the music is one of the most satisfying activities in our life and when the interest is there, music can be learned in any age. Each student is taught in unique way. Students are respected in their wishes and expectation. The goal is to inspire them in joyful music making and the relationship to music in general while feeling physically comfortable with the instrument. Tomas can also help with musical theory in the beginning of the playing.
